About us

Based centrally in Wootton, we are a local, friendly accountancy firm regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). We offer a range of services, from accounts preparation and tax services to advice that will help you develop and grow your business. We are a customer focused business providing a single point of contact where possible and we will work with you to provide the services you need. 


Embracing current technology ensures a fast and efficient process of preparing and filing your accounts and tax returns. At Isle of Wight Accountants we partner with the leading accountancy software providers which enables us to set up, maintain and advise you on how to utilise your software to its full potential. We are currently working with our clients to ensure the transition to 'Making Tax Digital' over the coming years will be as easy as possible.

Kyle Stevens FCA


Kyle trained at a local firm of accountants and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2013. Kyle has a varied client portfolio from small sole traders to multi million pound turnover companies. Kyle specialises in business development advice and works with a number of high growth clients, helping them achieve their potential.


When Kyle isn't at work, he spends his time with his family, watching movies and attempting DIY!


Hannah Doyle


Hannah is a founding member of Isle of Wight Accountants. Hannah is an accounts assistant working directly for the directors. Hannah assists the directors with accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT and payroll for a number of our clients as well as providing office administrative services for the company.


When Hannah isn't at work, she is a very proud mother to two young children who keep her very active!


Caymen Collins ATT


Caymen joined Isle of Wight Accountants in 2020 as a senior tax manager. Caymen started his accountancy career in 2010 on the island and gained his accountancy qualification in 2014 and his tax qualification in 2016. Caymen became a director in 2022 and manages the tax department, as well as having his own client portfolio including leading the service provision for the local branches of a national franchise. 


Outside of work, Caymen is a proud father to his young daughter and also represents England around the world playing beach soccer. 

   

Nicola Peachey ACCA


Following a period of growth at Isle of Wight Accountants, Nicola joined the company in 2022 as a senior accountant with many years of experience working at a large Isle of Wight practice. Nicola has previously worked with both of the directors and after a career break to start a family, she is a welcome addition to the Isle of Wight Accountants team, bringing a wealth of experience with her. Nicola prepares the accounts and tax returns for a number of our clients whilst also providing bookkeeping and VAT services.


Nicola runs a small holding with her husband and young child, raising chickens, sheep and pigs and working to persuade her husband to raise cows too!


Bridie Westerhoff CTA


Bridie trained at a local firm of accountants and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2016. Bridie manages our tax department looking after our high-net-worth clients and their more complicated tax affairs. 


Bridie liaises with local solicitors providing a capital gains tax service and advice in connection with trusts and estate planning. Bridie also looks after our non-resident clients.


Most of Bridie’s spare time is taken up with her two young boys and keeping up with their exploits!


James Carter


James joined Isle of Wight Accountants in 2024 after gaining a 1st Class Honours Degree in Accounting with Finance from Portsmouth University.


James is our first Trainee Chartered Accountant and is gaining practical experience in accounts preparation and completing personal and business returns. James also undertakes bookkeeping, VAT, wages and management accounts preparation for some of our clients. In James’ first year, the courses he will be following will supplement the practical experience he gains in the office.


In his spare time, James has started playing golf regularly and enjoys going to the gym.

We will prepare your accounts and tax return efficiently, and file those documents with HMRC and Companies House, if required, on your behalf. Provided you let us have all your accounting records and complete tax return information within three months of your filling deadline we guarantee to file your documents before the due date. Some of our clients have told us that the tax we saved them is greater than our charges!

    Micro companies from £800 +VAT (£960 incl VAT)

    Your company will be a micro-entity if it has any 2 of the following:

    • a turnover of £632,000 or less
    • £316,000 or less on its balance sheet

Bookkeeping and VAT

Having up to date accounting records gives the business owner a live overview of their business and an indication of how it is currently performing. This is so important in today's high inflation environment. It facilitates correct and timely decision making.

We will maintain your accounting software. We can post all, or any, of your sales, purchase, bank and petty cash transactions on your behalf. We are flexible and will work with you to agree which transactions each party is responsible for. We will agree your VAT liability with you and submit your VAT return on your behalf.

Payroll, auto enrolment and CIS Contractor Returns

Everyone hates payroll! Except us!

Let us take the worry and stress out of your payroll cycle. Whether this be weekly or monthly, we can provide a complete payroll, pension, and CIS service.

All we ask is that you provide us with the information we need, in the format we have requested, and let us calculate your employees pay, sick pay, maternity pay etc. We will notify you of your employees net pay, make the payroll submission to HMRC, upload the auto enrolment information to your pension provider and notify you of your PAYE payment and your pension payment due.

If you operate within the construction industry, we will prepare and file your CIS returns and prepare and forward to you your subcontractor statements.  If you suffer CIS deductions, we will submit your EPS claim to HMRC.

Limited companies provide the flexibility to structure your earnings more tax efficiently and offer limited liability to the directors. We can form companies quickly (usually within 24 hours) and to your specification.
